Thanks, Adge!

Diet beer? Blech. Why bother? I know, lots of folks love their cheese and fake cheese takes a long time to get used to, and even then you really never love it.

Veggie pizza and beer was part of MY food pyramid when I first was vegetarian, so go for it! I think if millions of people would switch to be semi-vegetarian, that would be fantastic. Like I said, just do what feels right.

Keep up the great articles!

First off, a killer article. Articulate, well-informed, and puts my food pyramid to shame :).

Second, thank you for the props!

Third... well... I have to say... there are definitely certain meat products I could go without... but cheese man... cheese I need in my life. So I could be semi-vegetarian... but I don't think that living on a diet of beer and vegetable pizza is what you had in mind?!

Kidding. Thanks for the article and the insight on your lifestyle. Very cool and will pass it along.

As a close animal-eating friend of yours, let me just say, if I haven't already, that I completely respect and admire your choice to go vegan and all the efforts you've put into it. I must say, being an animal lover, it bothered me to be called an animal eater, not because it is inappropiate and untrue, but because that is actually what I am and the truth sometimes hurts. I am happy to say that I have NEVER eaten head cheese or haggis and never will(the foremost reason is the name, and a very close second is the contents-the cartoon didn't help either). While I don't plan to become a vegetarian or vegan anytime soon (my Yocco's addiction and love of pizza is just too strong), your article and knowing you has opened my eyes to a whole new lifestyle that may be considered in the future. Perhaps if Yocco's hot dogs ever goes out of business that will be the time I change :) Thanks for always being an "eye opener" and respecting my choice to be different.
