Russia shuts down Allofmp3.com
Back in April I covered Allofmp3.com being offline for 9 hours, today they are offline for good.
The site, Allofmp3.com, was quietly closed as the Kremlin sought to end criticism from the United States that Russia was failing to clamp down on music and video piracy.
I’m not totally shocked by this, however I would have expected a bit more grumbling and fan fare. The site provided a service for those who are not comfortable using BitTorrent or got scared off from P2P sites due to recent lawsuits.
It can’t be long before a replacement comes online

I thought the same thing. I only heard about this via random blogs. It really did seem like something that would have been covered more across the board.
