PA: Tell Legislators it’s Time to Vote on Puppy Mill Bill!
This applies to Pennsylvania residents, please check in to see what is going on with your state.
Dear Pennsylvania Advocates,
With your General Assembly recessed for the summer, it has been a quiet few months for PA HB 2525, the bill that would help put an end to the some of the most inhumane and egregious practices common to your state’s puppy mills. Summer recess ends on Monday, September 15, and it’s time to get back to work.
Although HB 2525 is overwhelmingly supported by the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, it is up to House leadership to call the bill for a vote. Until this happens, dogs will continue to suffer. Let’s make sure that the handful of politicians who stalled HB 2525 in June does not succeed in defeating this groundbreaking legislation!
What You Can Do?
Please visit the ASPCA Advocacy Center to send a letter to your state representative today. The letter asks representatives to contact House leadership directly and urge that HB 2525 be called for a vote as soon as the Assembly reconvenes.Thank you, Pennsylvania, for joining the fight against puppy mills.
**PS: Don’t forget to join the ASPCA in Harrisburg on September 16 to rally for puppy mill reform! Details may be found here.
