Since the time when I rode the bus to grade school I have been exposed to the American curse words, most all of them by the time I hit middle school. I was raised in a household that did not allow them until my late teens when words like shit would finally squeak by without repercussion. During this time, I used most all of these forbidden words around friends or heard them in movies; sometimes strong words need to be used to convey or reinforce a message. Additionally, I have the manors to know when such words shouldn’t be used and whom with which I should respect their boundaries.

My problem stands only with those who have limited tolerance for words in which they use while strictly forbidding others. An example of such an instances is with one person I know whose favorite word is fuck, most all of the time it is not used as a verb. This can be flung around all day long and they won’t bat an eye, use the word cunt around them and the proverbial shit hits the fan.

If you are going to subject me with the curse words you choose, don’t get offended when I use my favorites. Finding a middle ground can often be hard to come by as well, some consider the word crap to be vulgar as well.
