Starting around 3 this morning, my phone wouldn’t shut up. Text messages started to pour in, well not pour in, but a half dozen of them. Although half asleep, they all seemed like I’ve read them before. Some of them were from senders who I knew were not up at that time of the night, so it seemed really odd.

A phone call at 9 to wake me up again from a good friend confirmed that this indeed had happened to her. All night she too had received old text messages from the previous three days. She couldn’t take it anymore and just woke up for the morning, deciding it would be a good time for me to wake up as well.

This could be partly due in fact to the change of hands that is going on between Cingular and AT&T; this blogger noticed last night the text in the display on his Cingular phone now says AT&T. No matter the reason, I’m just happy I have unlimited text messages now, otherwise and screw up like that could have cost me some money.

Anyone else on Cingular / AT&T and have old text messages from last night?
