Kwik-E-Marts are taking over
Any fan of The Simpsons knows that the Kwik-E-Mart is the place to be for supreme nachos and Buzz cola. It seems that this is now going mainstream and coming to your neighborhood corner in place of the 7-11 that may be there now.
If all goes as planned, the convenience store chain plans to refit 11 stores across the U.S. — Richmond is an unlikely choice — to resemble the front of the Kwik-E-Mart, the convenience store that Homer and other characters frequent in the classic cartoon TV series.
Customers also will be able to buy products inspired by the nearly two-decades-old show, including KrustyO’s cereal, Buzz Cola and iced Squishees (the cup says Squishee, but the contents will be Slurpee).
So it appears that after more than 17 years on TV, many fans will finally be able to finally go in and experience this wondrous joy. No word yet on whether or not the employees will have to have thick accents or not.
