iPhone is out, get over it.
Everyone and their mom got the message that the iPhone was released today. This will not change the world. The Rokr was a clear sign that people don’t really want iTunes on their phone. Yes the iPhone brings high speed internet and Edge, but it will take a while to get people to drop $599 on an 8GB MP3 Player / phone / PDA.Myself, I need a phone to make and receive calls, text and that’s about it.
I have no need in my life for a PDA, Blackberry, Treo or any of that crap. My 60GB iPod does me just fine.

I want to agree with you, but if I get one free when I renew my mobile phone contract I’m not going to turn it down…

I’d be all for it, however like the Razr, you probably won’t start to see them being given away for free for at least a full year post release, and that is a bit of a stretch as well.
From my understanding, the $599 price is with a 2 year contract, rumors are an unlocked iPhone could be as high as $750.
