Help give $500 towards charity
Generally speaking I’d rather do something to help a charity then give money, money is not always the answer, however it is needed a lot of times to facilitate charities overhead or to help pay for food and water during natural disasters or when someone hits hard times. Today I ran across a rather unique blog (via another blog) that is giving $500 to a charity just for writing about it. Easy enough, I write and can spend 10 minutes putting together a story to help someone out.
Alex Shalman at Practical Personal Development (a blog about self help and personal growth) is hosting a Donation Contest in which you press a button and he donates a dollar. What is the button? The links in the previous sentence. That’s it. Go visit his site; he’ll give $1 because you the reader of Randomn3ss.com have gone to his site. He is trying to get 500 blogs to do this, at which time he’ll be randomly selecting one of them and donating $500 to the charity of their choosing. If you have a blog, help the cause out.
Since I had never been to the site, I wanted to browse around and see what it was about before putting it here, I was pleasantly surprised. Over the last few months I’ve been trying to make changes in my life to be a better person. Alex writes about how to accomplish this, so I’ve grabbed his feed and plugged it into my Google Homepage and look forward to further articles he has. Everyone can improve something about their life; check out his site, you may find something of use there that you can apply to your own day to day activities.
