Nearly 2 months ago Allofmp3.com was shut down by Russia, today they announce that they plan on coming back online. The Inquirer reports,

The site’s blog page says that “service will be resumed” and that work is going on behind the scenes to re-enable accounts, balances and music ordering services.

Also posted on their blog today,

On Wednesday, August 15 a district court in Moscow ruled that AllofMP3.com operated within the bounds of Russian law.

The court found no infringement of copyright law. According to the statement from the judge the site had paid a certain amount of the revenue to the right holders in full compliance with the law.

The court found that the investigation initiated by the IFPI had produced insufficient evidence and the conclusion that AllofMP3.com had broken any laws was a premature one.

Clearly they plan on coming back and coming back stronger than before. It is also pretty evident that there is a market for consumers willing to pay an average of $3.00 to download an entire album, this compared to the $1 per song through iTunes or up to $17.00 for the disk in a traditional store. It also shows that consumers are willing to pay for music, albeit not as much as the music industry would like them to, compared to the trouble it can often take to illegally download pirated songs.
