A firend of mine, Lung Liu, takes almost all of his shots from waist level with a medium-format film camera. I've compared them with similar shots taken at eye-level and there's no comparison. I am by no means a pro photographer, but I wish I'd had my camera with me this winter when I was driving around a couple of days after an ice storm, and the sun was shining brightly.
